Thank you for visiting our site! I am a board-certified rheumatologist in practice for over 9 years committed to providing the highest quality, honest, and cutting-edge care for each and every patient. My passion for becoming a rheumatologist was two fold - first, the science of inflammation was fascinating to me as a student, and second, you can say it was in my blood - my father, also a practicing rheumatologist factored heavily into my decision to join the field.

I am very dedicated to medical education and patient advocacy. As a former transitional year residency program director at Amita Health St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago, I had the privilege to train and mentor residents and fellows. As the current Section Chief of Rheumatology at St. Joseph Hospital, I am committed to our division providing collaborative, compassionate and comprehensive patient care as well as lead innovative research initiatives to make a positive impact on patient outcomes. I also serve as medical chair for the Chicago chapter of the Arthritis Foundation, partnering with patients and rheumatologists across the country to raise funds and awareness about rheumatic diseases. I am regularly invited to speak nationally as a key opinion leader at physician education symposiums and patient seminars to provide my perspective on the ever changing landscape of rheumatology.

I have always had an inner drive for furthering the rheumatology field through medical research. I do this every day in my practice, by bringing innovative clinical trials to my patients. I publish research in preeminent peer-reviewed medical journals and present at national and international scientific conferences.

As a life-long Chicagoan, I enjoy cheering on the Cubs, trying new restaurants around the city, and biking on the lakefront with my wife (also a physician), two girls, and our dog Baba Ganoosh.
